“I competed in BEST Robotics with Texoma Home Educators for 7 years, and it changed my life. I learned to engineer, speak in public, work on a team, write a notebook, and much more. I made friends during that time that I am still close with today. BEST Robotics is a program I would recommend to anyone and everyone.” -Nicholas Williams, T.H.E. Alumnus
“The BEST Robotics Robotics Program is a fun way to introduce students to the technical and social skills they will use in their careers in the years to come.” -Kevin Reynolds, Robotics Coach
Practice day was a challenge for all the teams this year. While our robot is moving and scoring points on the official practice fields, all teams are experiencing program issues with the new brain. Here’s some photos from practice day:
With only six days until the competition, we are holding robot driver tryouts tonight! The driver must be skilled in driving the robot and well-versed in the competition rules. After tonight, the selected drivers and spotters will go through rigorous practice every weeknight until competition day. It’s a big responsibility, but these drivers are up to the task!
Game Day is coming up soon! HUB competition is going to be held at Denison High School Friday, November 8 and Saturday November 9. We cannot wait to cheer on all the teams as we all share our exhibit booths, make our marketing presentations and, of course, the robot competition!
Here’s some pictures of our team a past competition:
THE did a concept promotion at KCA using the robot from 2017 “Crossfire” competition. We reached around ten elementary students. Pictures are included below:
BEST Robotics teams are run like companies. As a company, our team creates a unique project name, logo, and brand promise each year.
Given the theme of this year’s game (read about it here), our team chose the name ECOSystems (Environmental Cleanup Operations Systems). Our brand promise is “Bringing the oceans back to life“, and our logo is shown below:
