The BEST robotics game for 2024 is called “Low G”. The theme of this year’s game is rebuild on the lunar surface.

In BEST Robotics, “Low G” refers to the theme of the current competition year, which centers around a lunar base scenario, requiring teams to design robots that can navigate uneven moon terrain while considering the challenges of low gravity, essentially simulating a “low gravity” environment on the moon where the robot would operate with reduced gravitational pull; this often involves designing special wheels and movement mechanisms to handle the unique terrain and low gravity conditions.

In the game, our lander must make it’s way to the central basin crater. Our goal is to safely carry an astronaut on the uneven terrain as we have various goals such as restoring radio contact, collecting moon rocks and core samples, gather supplies for retrieval tasks and more.
