With only six weeks to get the team ready for the hub competition – a job that includes building a robot, exhibit booth, engineering notebook, preparing our marketing presentation and social media platform – THE Robotics gets busy after kickoff. Below is this year’s calendar of major events.

September 12- Game Reveal & Hub Kickoff at Collin County Technical College

September 12 – Local Team Kickoff and Parent Meeting

September 14-18 – First safety and prototyping shifts

September 19 – Selecting the initial design, exhibit meetings start,

PENDING – marketing presentation tryouts

September 21 to October 24 – Building, testing, and refining the          robot

PENDING – Spirit meetings begin on Saturday afternoons.

PENDING- Driver tryouts

Practice day – October 24, Allen ISD STEAM Center

November – Team meetings: Exhibit, Marketing Presentation, Driver, and Spirit meetings. 

November 6-7 – Hub Competition at Trenton High School. Marketing presentation on the 6th, as well as the exhibit booths. The competition lasts all day on the 7th, so feel free to join us even if you aren’t on the team!

December 10 through 12 – Regional Competition at Fair Park.  Because there are so many exhibit booths, they are only up on the 10th, and you do not want to miss them. The marketing presentation is also on the 10th. Due to the large number of teams, this competition will be spread between two days. Regional robots are always amazing – this isn’t something to miss!
