2022 Made 2 Order

The Competition

The 2022 BEST competition is called “Made 2 Order” with a theme of supply chains in big businesses like Amazon and FedEx. Teams have to build robots capable of processing several items and putting them into the boxes, including collecting batteries and small wheels and putting them into boxes.

About Our Team

This year we were fortunate to have many returning skilled team members accustomed to presentation, design and programming. We also had many new team members of various ages and genders. We are all homeschoolers in Grayson and surrounding counties from 6th grade to 12th grade.

HUB

HUB competition was held at Bonham High School on November 5. The Bonham Warriors hosted a great competition in a gym loud and full of excitement. The competition was great with many public and private schools showing what their robot looked like, what it could do and the skill of the drivers.

Our team earned the Top Gun award for the most points scored in a single round, as well as Best Marketing Presentation, First Place with the robot with 324 points and BEST Overall. It was an exciting accomplishment with what we thought would be a “building year.”

Regionals

Regionals was held in the Comerica Center in Frisco on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday the 3rd. Our spirit team made little gifts to give to all of the teams that were in the pit, which is where all of the robots are kept. “If it can’t be fixed with Duct Tape, you’re not using enough Duct Tape”

T.H.E earned the Best Software Design, and the Top Spirit Award of our division. Our robot earned 811 points, earning us 3rd place in our division and 2nd place Best. Congrats to all of the amazing competitors.
